Airtech Mechanical Heating & Cooling is hiring a Lead HVAC Installer to join our growing team in Livonia, Michigan.
We are looking for an experienced HVAC professional who can lead residential and light commercial installations while maintaining high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. This position offers year-round work, competitive pay, company vehicle opportunities, and advancement potential.
Responsibilities
- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, mini-split systems, and water heaters
- Lead installation crews and train junior installers
- Complete residential and light commercial HVAC installations
- Read blueprints and equipment specifications
- Perform startup, testing, and commissioning of installed systems
- Ensure all work meets local codes and manufacturer requirements
- Maintain a clean and professional job site
- Communicate effectively with customers and office staff
- Complete installation paperwork and job documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years HVAC installation experience
- EPA Certification Required
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds
- Experience with furnaces, AC systems, heat pumps, boilers, and ductwork
- Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and manage installation projects
Preferred Qualifications
- NATE Certification
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- Boiler installation experience
- Mini-split installation experience
- Crew leadership experience
Compensation: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
